The Tune Batteries

To shell an attacking enemy there were established a number of batteries. Not in forts or other fixed posts, but hidden in the ground and behind slopes and hills.

Batteries from the North to the South:

The Coastal Batteries at Mosede:

Northern Beach Battery (2 pcs.of 75 mm. quick firing steel canon)
Southern Beach Battery (2 pcs.of 75 mm. quick firing steel canon)
Hundige battery  (2 pcs. of 75 mm. quick firing steel canon)

In 1917 a unit of infantry, during an exercise, successfully attacked the four coastal batteries and threw hand grenades into the caponiere of the Mosede Fort. (The soldiers was assuming landed south of Mosede)
After that more barbed wire were established, and to ensure against future landings, Hundige battery (2 pcs. 75 mm. quick firing steel guns were mounted. )
Furthermore 4 pcs. of 90 cm. floodlights were mounted  to support the coastal batteries,
